Hello world!

I’m Adeepa Gunathilake. Currently a BSc Artificial Intelligence and Data Science undergraduate. I’m a computer science enthusiast. I have built many hobby projects. Here are some of them:

• Potheguru - A rule based Singlish to Sinhala transliteration system
• HoneyReader - A PDF reader written in java using the Apache PDFBox library
• fsnapu - (fuck snap updates). A simple C program to block the snap update.

Sadly, I made those projects when I was younger. Eventually I stopped working on those projects and I’ve lost code to those projects. However, fsnapu is a recent project. I have the code and I never shared it anywhere. These days I’m working on two hobby projects.

• ShortLink - A PHP based URL shortening software
• PeperOS - An operating system kernal

The PeperOS project is just a fun project I started so that I can learn how computer works in the lowest level. Nothing serious there.

Unlike when I was younger, I now enjoy outdoor activities more than coding on my computer. I love travelling a lot. I’m sure I’ll travel all across Sri Lanka within the next 5yrs. My other hobby is cycling.

Since I use no social media, this website is the only major place I participate in the internet other than on github and stackoverflow.
